That is why the new Federal regulations require that the rock wall is 40' back from the roadway on Interstate Highways. Some states have started cutting back the rock walls.

Ridiculous as usual. Different formations are more stable than others. Height also is a big factor in stability. Not all formations are created equal.

I just wish they would fix the damn roads around here!!! It's getting that you can't even go around the pot holes without hitting ANOTHER pot hole! We pay almost the highest gas tax to be used for roads and bridges in PA. I have seen many bridges being done but nothing for the roads! (and if/when they do, it will be the cheapest way possible like tar and chip BS!)

Of course, a brand new fleet of vehicles would be no problem. Just like the state police did with a few billion of our gas taxes. :cuss
