So this 409 W virus that was given to me by Tom K. and James has caused a lack of interest in my 54 Chevy pick up. So along came a man from Illinois who wanted a project for his 10-year-old and 12-year-old son. They brought a pile of money! I wish them luck and off they went with it. They were excited and so was I. :good
The other day I talked to Dean and he had freshened up at 409 for his 61. He had a set of Ross forged pistons and a set of eagle 6.135 rods. So I dug an L 78 396 forged cross drilled 396/427 crank out of my pile. Going to have the mains ground to fit the W block. Also going to have the counter balance weights clearanced too. Now what to put it in? This is my thought!!!

It's really a 66 with 67 front clip. Not a spot of rust, has a 350 or 327, (forgot which) and aluminum PG. He added the console and replaced the bench with Camaro seats. All new paint and interior, baby blue/black. If you would like I can give you his number by PM.
Not sure what he is asking but I know He wants to sell it. He still has a 66 SS to drive and can't work on them anymore due to health.

I sent my 375 horse 396 forged crank off today to get the mains ground to MOT for my 348 stroker build... when I get back Jeff’s going to chuck it up in his CNC lathe and turn down the counter balance weights and it will be set... And I absolutely hear what you’re saying there Mr. Jack’s :good:brow

Well I SOLD my 54 Chevy pick up and my 31 Chevy Coupe. I have a 409 and a 348 stroker motor at the machine shop now. In the morning I want to make a road trip to take a look at a 63 Biscayne. It’s just a roller and it needs a lot of everything but it has a title and the price is right. Got to go look at it in the morning and check it over real good and see if I can work out a deal. It’ll be perfect for the 348 stroker motor as a driver. Not a show car, not a race car, just a cruiser. I know I’m gonna have to get some panels and make some pans and some serious fabrication. But I’ve never owned one of these x-frame cars and I am excited to do it!!!!!!!! I even know a pretty good website where I can get advice. Here are a few pics of the turd! 929B5807-EE79-42DA-9B1D-26D4D205B22E.jpeg376DC3AE-0AF7-4C97-88A5-081228EB8AC9.jpeg15975E2C-AF9F-4554-9F6B-AAB94A608059.jpeg589A636E-B2EE-4B0D-BAEE-4D6793ACBAE6.jpeg22E9BEA5-C8D4-45E9-83DD-ED166F730AA1.jpeg99B88BA2-AD2D-4D74-89F8-87AF4A2020CC.jpegAF8F22BE-C0CC-4441-8131-3FEB765D3801.jpeg

I saw the Black 62 about two weeks ago. Looks like a pretty good buy but I would rather not have to buy a motor I wasn’t going to use. I’m kind of picky and anal about the body anyway. This is a good price I’ve been talking to him since Monday and he is expecting me in the morning. He said he would take it off the Internet until I looked at it but I told him that that was not necessary. I knew I would be taking a chance. He said he’s had a lot of people calling about it but I’m the only one that’s offered to come and look at it. Looks like it would be a good home for my stroker motor 348\or 409 the hard way!:crazy

Thanks Phil, I know where there’s a red 63 on jackstands that nobody’s doing anything with that I can get some parts from when he’s not looking. Been there in person I’ve seen the car!:taunt
