Well I SOLD my 54 Chevy pick up and my 31 Chevy Coupe. I have a 409 and a 348 stroker motor at the machine shop now. In the morning I want to make a road trip to take a look at a 63 Biscayne. It’s just a roller and it needs a lot of everything but it has a title and the price is right. Got to go look at it in the morning and check it over real good and see if I can work out a deal. It’ll be perfect for the 348 stroker motor as a driver. Not a show car, not a race car, just a cruiser. I know I’m gonna have to get some panels and make some pans and some serious fabrication. But I’ve never owned one of these x-frame cars and I am excited to do it!!!!!!!! I even know a pretty good website where I can get advice. Here are a few pics of the turd! Nice. And it has the rare interior delete package.

I have a 671 blower, but it’s not for sale right now. I sold one though, or should I say James sold it for me. It was on my 69C 10 but that was a while back.

I went to Iowa this morning, I actually woke up at 4:09 AM and that is not a joke! I left the house at 5:30 and was up there before nine. I crawled all over the car and it was just way more work that I wanted to commit to at this time. I think I need to find a car out west in the dry were it’s not rusted out as bad. Cecil gave me a lead on that powder Blue 66 wagon with a 67 front clip, Joe is a really nice guy and he’s a body man. He says the car has absolutely no rust. Joe wants me to come out and take a look at it and he’ll take me over to visit Cecil too. He said right now it’s been around 130 and he’s not coming outside for nothing, not even to work on his cars. He said he’ll come out of the cave at the end of September 1 of October. That might be a good time to go out and check things out. Besides I can go on route 66 and stand on the corner of Winslow Arizona! No girls next-door or flatbed Ford’s in my future though.:wacko:confused That’ll give me time to get my 348 stroker motor together. Bob and I need to get together he’s called me and left me a message and a text. I think it’s time for a nap.......

Don, I just got off the phone with Barry and was talking to him about this 678 casting intake. Ronnie and he had it on the gray nova with a 2 inch spacer, it had a 750 on it and performed outstanding. It also has been ported. Here’s a pic of it and I had planned on putting it on the stroker motor and it’s Plumbed for a fogger system too!:confused If anybody has flow numbers for an eddy single for out of the box I have a friend who has a flow bench who can flow this 678 casting to compare.:good5344C6CC-A44A-43A3-88FD-48EC91E406BA.jpeg

Well, I pulled the trigger and found me a shop truck, it also is the future home for my 348 stroker motor. I’ve had a couple of these trucks and the last one I built had a blown injected big block in it and then an LS -7 big block in it. I sold it to a friend Of Jameses and mine Raymond. And he loved that truck. I never really regretted selling it but I did like the short bed style. I’ve looked at a lot of these trucks and haven’t been able to pull the trigger on one because they’re so dang high. So I found a driver that has a little bit of rust here and there but nothing major except for the passenger side door. It has a 95 5.7 With a new distributor intake radiator and 700r4 transmission. It’s got a new Speedway steering column with the overdrive. It has new do exhaust flow masters on it new 22 inch steel wheels and tires. It’s a driver and has been licensed and runs fantastic. I got a folder with all the money he’s invested in it and he spent over $9000 on it since he bought the truck. I lucked out on this one but I had to fly in the middle of the night to go get it, and in the middle of a storm. And I lucked out by the skin of my teeth! So I brought her home and this is what it looks like. Not perfect but a driver that I can tweak on here and there and enjoy it till I get my 348 stroker motor finished and installed. I even like the stepside bed. And these trucks are going for crazy money now.:confused:facepalm A train horn Too!

:yupThanks Dave, right now I’ve got a 348 and a 409 at the machine shop. I bought a set of Ross forged pistons from Dean and a set of eagle rods. Crank’s been sent off And I talk to Bob Walla about a set of his heads timing chain and some other parts. The truck came with some rocker panels and doors and some other parts and I’m going to clean those up and try to get them to match the paint as close as possible and install those. Other than that it’s got a new transmission 700r4 and everything else has been gone through on the suspension so hopefully this fall I’ll have it running. I’ll keep you posted,,,,,
