Correct color for headlight buckets?

I just got some headlight buckets from a low mileage 1966 Corvair and see these are a gold cadmium color. They are in pretty good condition because of the way the lights are enclosed in the body.

Is this the correct color for these on our cars??? I've never seen any in this good of condition to actually tell before. They are usually just rust colored. :D If these are correct, they'll be going on one of my cars. :brow

Bob,
I don't know about a Corvair, the headlight buckets for a '61 chevrolet are black. The ones that I have actually appear to be gloss black.

Bob,
Let me retract the above post. The part that bolts to the fender is black, the part that the headlight actually sets in ( I guess that's the bucket) is gold cad. sorry:doh

Thanks Tommy. Looks like they have a new home!

Now, which one gets 'em? 63 Impala, 66 Impala or 66 Chevelle? Decisions, decisions... :p
