I like the way they tubbed the yellow Chevy, inner fenders from a early/mid 60's fleetside. Looks good.

Giny's 59 Apache 1/2 ton was a tow truck back in the day. $500.00 brought it home. Ended up with a 59 348 4 barrel. :crazy:cheers

Drove mine to Detroit from San Diago when I was discharged in 73. 10 miles to the gallon back then. Painted it red and put a 454 with tunnel ram with a turbo 400. Smoked the hole 1/4. Sold in 75 for 7.000. Lot of money back then. Bought this truck. 1956 Chev.jpg

55 Cameo I bought from a farmer near Stockton (Ca) in 84 for $1000....sold it in 85 for $2500. There's a 56 in worse shape for sale here for $8500.:dohMy 55 Cameo 1984.jpg

58 shortbed fleetside big back window. Bought it off the reservation in 96 for $50 with no rear axle, engine or trans. Added correct axle, rebuilt brakes, installed correct 58 283 and 3 speed. Running and driving and only got $1700 for it in 2005.....trucks like that are advertised now for $6000+:dunno258apache.jpg

If I could have afforded to keep the cars/trucks I had 30+ years ago I would have a much better looking retirement nest egg. Of course I would not have been smart enough to keep them anyway.
