First is my 62 Impala I believe SS convertible Black car with red ss interior black top padded dash power windows brakes steering radio column shift automatic. 250 horse .327
Thanks for posting, according to the cowl tag, this is a tuxedo black SS Impala convertible built at Oshawa Canada with black top, red bucket seat interior, 250hp 327, padded dash and power windows.
On this one I can add a little more as I went to GM Canada They told me it was not an SS because of the 1867 body number and sent along a sheet. I was on a forum way back and a gentleman on that forum told me if it has bucket seats it is an SS. GM Canada sent me the car assembly record, built 12-18-62 shipped 20- 12- 62 . I have alot of information on 62s the page you show the12h number where do you find those numbers Thanks Colin
Hi Colin, the 1962 Canadian Distribution Plan clearly shows that the BSO code 12H is for bucket seats (convertible only), and bucket seats were only available on a Super Sport. The list also confirms that AC was not available on a 62.
I've love to see a copy of those assembly records. I can mail or email you a full copy of the 1962 Distribution Plan (I'll have to scan it). my email is csnelling@bigpond.com.au
