Cranking compression?

Hi gents
What is the typical cranking compression for a fresh rebuild 340 hp 409? Please no comments on cam shafts or valve timing ...just a relatively stock 340 hp W. Ty gene

Mine just cranked 155...average about 150.

A healthy engine will have a cranking compression of 100 psi or better. Your engine is in excellent condition @ 150 psi if you did the test by the book.

If you are over 200 it sure won't run on pump gas with iron heads!
