Had one cat that went after my Weimaraner, and if I hadn't been there at the time, the cat would have been dead. He had the cat in his mouth and started shaking it, when I caught him. He was a tough dog that tangled with a porcupine, and the first time the porcupine won the fight. The second time, he shook the porcupine so hard that he had quills in his hind quarters, and the porcupine was dead. We were pulling quills out of him for hours as he laid knocked out on the vets table. After that, he never went after another porcupine, and I started to eliminate them when they showed up anywhere near the house. We still have them, but my mini dachshund is too old to even care about them.
