Dale and several of the rest of us in our 409 Chevy Club of America met with Doug Marion on a Sunday at Griffith Park for a photo shoot. He brought that car, and it was so good to see a pure stock restoration of that caliber.Dale was tuning for Bernstein at that time, had funny stories about what it was like to light off a top fuel motor in an industrial park warehouse unit, he always would talk to us at Pomona at the Winternationals or the Finals, he was a real nice guy and a great racer.

Greg....years ago Dale and his crew member Charlie came to my shop for a 2-3 hour visit. They were in Topeka, KS and the NHRA race. Dale was a true gentleman and I was honored with his visit.

We raced at the Gators for many years. We would always go to a particular bar b que expecting to see dale shadow and crew. He was a neat man. I enjoyed my relationship...with him and never abused it!
