What gear box is it now running for the floor alterations to be required?

Did it have the SS grab bar in it when you got it?

Hi Steve, ours isn't the original - at the time we wanted to buy the original we were told it wasn't for sale, so we decided to build our own 'tribute car' to race. It's still a 4 speed gearbox. As the car is going to race the carpet is all out, and that meant the SS console didn't fit properly. We made a box to fit which will also house the various switches we need to wire in for racing.

Wait, Does that mean we are dealing with 409 Royalty? Most of us do know that car pretty well. Hare to miss all of the information/story to be found on it. What a cool piece of history!

Hi, sorry to disappoint, but ours is a tribute car. We tried to buy the original a good few years back, but at that time we were told it wasn't for sale....so we built our own. Still a pretty car though!!
