Dick Lahai died Wednesday

Dick was a great racer and a good friend. He always had time to talk racing and old cars. He was a former world champ (nhra) as a driver TF and won four more world championships as crew chief. I knew him personally and he always had a minute to BS! I could fill this column with stories but I don’t want to bore. One thing for sure if Dick told you tomorrow was Easter start dyeing the eggs!!!

Watched he and his daughter for years during the best days for drag racing. They don't make em like that anymore.
