Got the 4-speed in the correct hole in cross member, now which is negitive angle -down or up, positive angle down or up ? Still chaseing a vibration between 2800 and 3000 RPM. None up to 2800 and none after 3000.:bang I have new tires,balanced-pull the driveshaft and had it re-balanced, everything new. Manual states front shaft 2 1/2 deg, rear 3 1/2 deg, center bearing 1 to 1/2 deg, don't know how you get the center. Have protractor, is negitive right or left of zero. I have been working on cars since 1957 and never have had a problen like this. Roger said "just don't drive between 2800 and 3000.:rolleyes

Manual is talking about the difference between the two. Up or down doesn't really matter on the stock setup, it won't be that far off. You can shim the center up but not down. Shim the trans mount and shim the banana bar mount on the crossmember. Factory numbers are for car at the factory ride height.

Finally found my vibration, the rear end yoke. See the pictures. While putting a new yoke seal, I noticed the flange that hold the U-joint was not the same size . The flange on the left is thick, while the flange on the right is thin and is kind of dug out as if maybe a U-joint came loose. Got a NOS one from Phil and no vibration. (thanks Phil)
