I am planning on starting on my 409 engine block table project soon and thought I had my mind made up on how I wanted to do it but now I can't decide between two different ideas so I figure I will get other opinions. My original plan was to just use the block clean it up and attach 4 pistons and rods to the deck to hold the glass and the other 4 for feet. Now my other idea is to set a top end on the block using some extra heads dual quad intake and valve covers that I have. The first picture shows my first idea and the second shows the second idea of having a top end on so what do you guys think?IMG_1167.JPGIMG_1166.JPG

I made progress today block is cleaned painted and cleared. For now I’m just going to use the block with pistons on the deck and thinking about cutting a camshaft up to use the feet. I figure I can always change it later! Also don’t really have enough spare junk parts to do a complete motor look yet.3D32F134-142E-41A0-B437-602B53035B1B.jpeg8A573329-0723-4035-A146-12A156B9861B.jpeg3812FE70-F7D8-48E0-9C62-A0DBA8C7BC90.jpeg13D0A251-5FDC-4DCD-9AE4-B0CD53A11B3D.jpeg

Good start to the project!

I think I'm gonna work on something similar, keep those ideas flowing :).
