My first red belair...409...raced Beauty many times. If I won...Donnie went to work to beat me...then I had to work to beat him. The win went back and forth for several years. When Donnie quit racing...I bought his car. His parting comment???...laughing..."You sure cost me a lot of money".....I had to admit the same. Good competition and friendship

This is no baloney. For several years now, we have had a NHRA Div.7 Stock eliminator Mopar ace named Steve Wann, Roadrunners, Max Wedges, anything Mopar. His current ride is a '62 Plymouth Fury, 413 Max Wedge, not even a 426 wedge, runs A/SA. He currently owns the record with it which is solidly in the 9's. Every year at the U.S.Nationals, at Indy, they run a race within a race for A/SA and A/S cars, heads up for class, this last Indy, he won running 9's at Indy. He's the hardest working racer in Stock Eliminator, hands down, and this big Mopar aptly named Mr.413 gets it done nearly every time he goes out.
