Related to my original question the “famous” 409 service pak 2 that came out for sale very late in the 62 model run included exhaust manifolds along with other items for enhancement of the 62 409. We know that those manifolds were the rear dump 63-64 high performance manifolds BUT they had a unique casting for the original run and were only made late in 62. Those castings were 3822923 and 3822924. Anyone have a set and what are they worth? The massive Cecil storage parts building probably has a set.
And before Phil asks no I don’t have a set!

sorry Phil I am still having trouble with memory after I read from Dave Coots that tenX is a competitive shooting term. I always thought that was one of those crypto currency's sort of like a bit coin but I ain't ever seen a "bit coin". Years ago we were notified that our files were attacked and wouldn't be released until we paid an insane amount of $ in "bit coins" Well, yep I went off sort of like Ray's doomed turkey. The IT folks and my office manager calmed things down that our backup files were on our own external tape drives as an extra backup and it was just a matter of using them as backup. Heh,heh the other departments didn't fare so well!
Seriously the City of Baltimore is virtually shut down by the same ransom scheme so their backups are encrypted as well as their working files

Ok, here some of the exhaust manifolds.
I have a left and right “0” manifolds, one not as legible.

So for my info are they service package parts or pre-Z-11 63’s

Pat you sure seem to come up with 0 part numbers! Nice and I seem to think a 923 cast number evident. Sorry Phil???? I guess service pack parts mainly because of the 0?:dunno

Yeah, yeah, sort of like your match shooting points!

Some one previously asked about valve caps so ask and you might receive. These apply to most GM's of the era. The cap on the right is correct while the left one is generic. The valve stem itself would be traditional rubber for these cars and of course of the proper length for the wheel and hubcap. The cap on the right is actually sourced from a Pontiac site!

Also the issue of vin plates and data plates was brought up. No, in our organization those are not reviewed thus not part of judging.
Robert

Must get really interesting when a 1962 Chevrolet that has the accessory full wheel caps on it, gets judged. The caps came with plastic valve extensions in the box to be added to the short valve stem.

I throw a giant monkey wrench into the valve cap post, and all you can talk about are exhaust manifolds! This is getting exhausting, I mean exasperating...... or what ever that word is... :D

While they are definitely important for lots of reasons, unfortunately valve stem caps are passe compared to those sexy exhaust manifolds. Those manifolds are kinda like soft porn for some here so you can see why they might focus on them. Now excuse me...……. I need to take a shower..
