Thanks for any help with this - stock manifolds hit the perch and I know some folks grind away to fit the manifold, I would rather not do that because that is a lot of metal to remove.I see some folks have used cpp perches-has anyone used them with luck? I also have the speedway motor(last pic) mount that bolts to the front of the block but then I cant use a power steering pump- any help would be great

I went through this repeatedly on my '64, and ended up using these or something like them (not sure where I purchased them):

I used the BBC version, had to make a few mods, and ended up moving the engine back as far as I could, more or less in between the 2 sets of factory holes. I tried the factory SBC perches and the round-tube POL mounts also before I settled on these. The front-to-rear position is important, and the height of the perch itself is another issue.
