Due to some valid complaints I've been getting recently, we will have to implement a new rule for the For sale area.

There have been on occasion posts made which are very vague in nature. An example might be; "59 Chevy for sale, make offer."

A post such as this gives NO useful information so the viewers have to try and "pry" the information out of the seller by asking how much? engine size? where are you located? do you have an pics? etc, etc. That's no way to try and sell something and is annoying to all. Ads like this will now be removed when found.

Ads should include:
  • a good description of the item(s) your selling
  • asking price
  • location of the item (if your in the U.S., be sure to also select your state prefix to add next to the title)
  • a way to contact you*
Good quality photo(s) would be a plus too but is optional.

* I recommend not listing email addresses. Emails will be picked up by bots to spam you. It's best to use the forum contact or conversations (private messages).

To help you create your ad properly, fill in text boxes have been implemented for Country, state, price, shipping, etc. All of these are optional, fill in only those that apply.

Thank you for your understanding,

Bob-(admin)

Rules for posting For Sale ads:

Be descriptive with your ad! Your the seller so SELL IT!

Buyers want details so don't be afraid to list them all.

Include good quality photos if you can.

Ads are required to include:

•Location of the item your selling. (if your in the U.S., be sure to also select your state prefix to add next to the title)
•A good description of the item(s) your selling.
•Asking price $
(ads without a price may be removed by admin without notice. If you don't have an asking price, post your ad in the make an offer forum)
•How to contact you
(private conversations is recommended as it's never a good idea to post your email address on forums. Emails can be picked up by spambots to spam you. I would also avoid phone numbers and other personal information. It's best to use the forum conversations to share personal information such as this)

What is NOT allowed:

•Vague ads (this would be ads that do not include the items above. These ads may be removed with or without warning by the administrator)
•Commercial ads
•Porn
•Illegal items of any kind
(example; VIN tags/titles, etc)
