Here's an update, hopefully pics to follow:
And, I did revisit my rules:
1. It will get a W, maybe with 6 2 barrels (sticking with 2x4 for now)
2. It will have 3 pedals unless I trade off something (yes and everything works with some z-bar and pivot mods)
3. I don't want to move the engine forward (ended up with CPP big block mounts for several reasons, move engine 1-1/2" forward)
4. It might have p/s or not (looks like it will work out)
5. It might never get painted, it's a relic or a farm truck (I don't have a farm). (Painted one door HOK yellow primer, am going to do whole truck)
6. I really need to use up some stuff I have around. (No $hit but making progress)
7. It's lowered enough for what I want, probably leave the suspension as-is. (yes)
8. I don't care if anyone else likes it. (People seem to like it?? Not sure why)
Bailed out on the headers for now as too time-consuming. A set of SC 925/926 repop manifolds worked out beautifully with no issues yet. Other items so far were clutch z-bar pivot, firewall sheet metal work, move crossmember, getting shifter away from seat, getting glass and interior assembled, etc.
Now to finalize plumbing, electrical and driveshaft!
