Fastener size needed

Can anyone confirm the correct length for the 3/8-16 hex head bolts used on 2-1/2" 883 & 884 exhaust manifolds. I'm guessing 1/-1/4" for the 5 short ones on each side and 2-1/4" for the 2 long ones each side.

Heck I usually measure how deep the threaded hole is + how thick the manifold or whatever is thickness and use that +/- a washer thickness. I cut some longer bolts to use as header bolts to a custom length to get a little more thread engagement.

I did what Skip did. I bought longer than I need and modified the length to fit. Test fit until they just stop finger tight back off 2 turns there’s the max length in the block. Add a washer thickness and the rest is the thickness of the component. Did it with all my oil pan bolts too.(clean all threads first so you get a true bottom)
