What is the pay load on an aircraft that size. 
Where do they pick up the water Cecil? Is there a scoop or something that opens as they skim the water?
It scoops the water. Look at frame 2 minutes and 23 seconds into the video and you will see the indicators showing the tanks filling up.

looks like they use the later model with turboprop engines, the older model has the cool'er look with big radial engine
