My brother was going through are Dad's flight logbook and found where I got my first ride in a plane. August 4th 1958, flite was from Junction City KS to Great Bend KS.

The plane is still around in Washington State. The plane was rebuilt in 2003 and had 4376 hours in 2011.
Though it was interesting that the old bird is still around.

The plane I got my license in was built in 1964, so long as someone is getting use out of the airplane they can be maintained for ever! Unlike classic cars that can be left and forgotten about just about anywhere and fall apart. Planes have very specific rules to keep flying. If you have a tail number you can track that plane just about anywhere in the world.
