Ok,I'll bring the wet blanket here'Look at the discoloration on that air intake, and it's heat that's going into that beautiful housing. Also look right behind that hose, and you'll see rolled up[sorta] heat insulating material behind the air cleaner. That would look terrible at the car shows. If I'm going for cooler air,I'm going with the more effective Z-11 cowl set up for a street driven car.Now if you're going nostaliga, and ducting into two of the head lights, this thing could to work pretty well, look at Ishiftem's 63.

Cheap and works just fine. E893B68F-A7E0-4BD9-9CE9-67D29C6E679D.jpeg

Well, we finally lost the battle... The FAST Sportsman EFI simply wont fit the 881's and you saw the pics for the height issue with carls intake. Theres no other intake we can come up with for now that meets both so for now Betsy is back to gas and carbs. We threw back in the tank and couldnt resist a little blast and felt super grateful for having such a cool problem. The EFI system will go on the truck when the motors back from Carls and off we go... Heres a vid of a few min ago...

I don't think that those throttle bodys would fit on an Eddie either,Dave.Besides the bolt spacing on the injector bodies, about like a Dominator, the idle speed motor sticks way out, making it a length problem.

One of the problems is that the bases of these injector throttle bodies is that they are much larger than the typical AFB/Holley base size. They are more like the Holley Dominater carb in size.

Hey hey boys!! Super sorry for the delay, got side tracked on another project were finishing up. Sticking with racing tradition, its of another kind, a 61 Austin Healey. The kids and I built it from scratch, built up a rotisserie from a couple engine stands, sandblasted and did every nut and bolt, literally. Even tumbled the old bolts in a tumbler...

Just got her out, thanks Don for the help and were on the road. Have to fix the overdrive, but couldnt wait and was out yesterday. Get this, 30 degrees, covertable with atv helmets and on the road like we owned it, HA! If you dont believe it, check out this late night vid, poor sound, no top, but hey, without a sticker on her best time to do a few shakedown runs...

Healey build at the bottom....

Well get this out and get the throttle bodies of the fast system on the 881 by sat, promise...

Thanks guys! We loved this build and in that link we posted shows we did it 100% ourselves with books and doing things twice it seemed, ha! We wanted to pay tribute to a different kinda racer and the Healey was top of the list. Reason, a car that can win land speed records on the salt flats, race the 24hrs of Le Mans, and be one of the first manufacturers to sponsor and support a little known racer at the time called Carrol Shelby is pretty friggen cool. Yup, if you didnt know he started in the healey, added a couple pics. He did land speed and rally, but you can see the rally car didnt end so well.. Also loved the celebs that were so into these cars. This one we have is a 61 BN-7 and a true roadster, two seats not a 2+2. The sound, absolutely amazing. Ill try to record it because coming up to speed and enen with engine braking and the crack-pop sounds awesome...

We have to fix our over-drive but all the other issues are sorted and have been out doing 100+ miles in 30 degrees!, ha!
