fuel pumps

What's the word?
Electric vs mechanical fuel pumps.
In particular on a 58 Chev 348
One nice thing about one I had on a 54 Chev small block years ago was I hooked it up to an on off switch so if someone tried to steal it they would have to find the switch.
Anybody got pros and cons?

I kinda like the simplicity of a mechanical fuel pump, that's what I'm running on the 409 in my 55.

Yeh I kinda prefer the mech It's one less wiring head ache and electricity and fuel can be a bad combo if not done right

Nawwww,,, No big deal on the electric pumps,,

Just that there is nothing wrong with the mechanical ones for the street and electric one can be a bit noisey,,
If you go electric wire in a relay
