Lots of you already know this but I haven't seen it posted. Solid roller cam and lifters assembly lash cold. Cast iron block, aluminum heads. Cold lash is cam card spec minus .006". In my case the cam card specifies, . 014" intake and exhaust hot lash. During assembly I lashed cold .008 which is .014 minus .006" . I just checked Hot lash and had two exhaust just a couple thousands tight. Probably could have left them alone but since I went to the trouble of removing the valve cover I Hot lashed to .014". So, when lashing iron block with aluminum heads its cam card Hot lash specs minus .006". It works!

Yes, pretty much. I am impressed how accurate it was. Still a good idea to check Hot but this seems very reliable for assembly.

I've never added .002 for iron block & heads though.

For my iron block and heads, it works out to .002 looser on the intake and .003 looser on the exhaust when cold.
