Grab Bar location

Bought a grab bar for my 61 impala and need a measurement so i put it inthe right location, i bought the bar from restoration world and seems to be pretty nice.Thanks and everyone have a merry christmas. Mike

Mike,
Do you have an assemby manual? If so , look in sheet 3.00 under RPO 240.:

I welded the hole up in mine when I was building her, or I could measure !!! I used pennies found in the car during disassembly to fill the voids.

61 Grab Bar

Thanks Cecil , I do not have a assembly manual,the picture makes it look pretty easy to install, the bracket is curved to fit the dash so hopefully i can drill the holes right the first time. Thanks again Mike
