Depends on the balancer some have the extra counter weight bolted on and could be removed easily.

True, I read up on that. Anyway, I talked to my dad tonight and he wants my rotating assembly and cam, so the flex and harmonic will go with it. He's putting a big block in his 47 Studebaker his parents bought new for their farm. Called Straub and am set up with a flex plate and balancer.
That would be the best bet.
Then you will know you have a true balanced assemble.
