Cecil, that is some really neat stuff your son has put together. I bet he could put that wing back on your plane real quick :)

Working with your son, ............ priceless !
My son and I completed a few late model rebuilders both gaining a lot of knowledge.
There is one other issue, ..... the plastic gods want to see pictures of the Corvette projects. Still have them or did they go by the way of the left back pocket ?

Its been a while since we started this and time for an update.
Casey and his family moved back to SLC and I've had enough of being a landlord so we sold the rental house and started back on the truck.

Remember when I posted "There's no more rust on the truck"? ..........I lied. After sandblasting, cab corners had some pinholes so they needed replacing.

Very nice metal work Cecil!
Thanks but I can't take credit for it. A friend who has a resto shop is doing the hard work giving me a painted shell that I will assemble myself. I just don't have time for the body/paint stuff until I get out of airplane jail.
My plans are for an original looking truck, probably a 3/4 drop and a factory appearing 409 installation just for grins.

Haven't updated in a while. It's going slow due to the money and time thing. It's just about ready for paint. All the gaps have been adjusted to perfection and all rust/dents have been taken care of. I should probably finish assembling the engine.
I have a 65 truck short block 30 over with 10:1 cast pistons all assembled except for cam, pan and heads. I'm looking for a torque engine not an rpm engine….will probably never see over 5000 tops. I have a choice of eddy heads, 817 or 333 heads. Probably shouldn't waste the eddys on this engine. Thinking about running a single four carter, eddy or maybe even a (gasp) quadrajet. Trans will be a 700r4 or 2004r.
Here's a few pics.
