Don't remove it! The purpose of it is to allow fumes to be pulled into the air filter and burned instead of venting into the engine compartment,reducing fire hazzards.Another use,while not really applicable here is that it can be used to raise the fuel pressure in a mild blower[up to about 6-7 psi] by connecting that nipple to the intake manifold allowing the fuel pressure to increase at a 1-1 ratio as the boost comes up in a blow thru application.

You need psychiatric help quickly
Maybe that might be a wildly optimistic goal.
You may want to shoot more for a functional 409 owner and learn to live with, and manage the disease. 
That would call for an intervention.
