My name is dan, and I'm addicted to chevys.
My father, at one time, had 15 old cars(13 chevys)
I liberated this one from him last year, as he is no longer able to work on them.
It is a 59 impala conv. 348/4 barrel/3/tree.
Going to begin resto on it.
Dad let this one sit for last 18 years, I just brought it home last year.
I put it on the lift, did brakes,flushed gas tank,rebuilt carb. and washed it.
I then proceeded to drive it all summer.
My daughters love it.
Currently converting it to 4 speed. I have a correct t-10 and shifter.
next is to install the 3x2 setup.
Possible paint work in near future.

Thanks to the group so far. Information galore here.

P.S. anyone in the akron/cleveland ohio area want to meet/ cruise, let me know.
Also have huge garage with lift and equipment, I can help others work on their rides.

Welcome Dan, Very nice car. We have several members in the Cleveland area. I'm sure you will meet some at the summer cruises. :)

Dan, Welcome aboard. I love the 59's and the convert is my favorite. Lots of good folks here with much knowledge. Don't hesitate to ask any questions as all are willing to help.

I've had my hopes on buying a 1959 Chevy convertible for some time now. MAN! :eek: I'd sure would love to have a 59' chevy convertible in my garage! Any additional pictures you have for this car...please post here!
