I got to hunt this year on a relatives 1800 acre ranch that is located about half way between George West and Freer in south Texas. The man has spent a fortune on that place. I don't remember how many stands he has, between 8 and twelve probably, but each one has two corn feeders, a supplement feeder, and a water tank. And he keeps the feeders filled during the periods he should according to the state game people. I didn't shoot anything I'm 74 and we don't eat red meat hardly anymore, but boy what a bunch of deer we saw; probably 200 deer total (of course some more than once) 6-10 ten points, one nine point, probably forty eight points. The biggest deer heaviest rack was on one eight point we saw. We hunted out of three of the stands. I put the scope on two of them and all I'd had to do was slip the safety off and pull the trigger, but didn't. We also saw two bobcats and several rabbits, armadillos, and coyote. No pigs which surprised me because he's got plenty of javelina there. I may shoot one next year we will see.
