It's too bad the truck didn't get the wings but cool none the less.......
My buddy back in the day had a 59 impala white 2 dr ht with a factory painted black top.348 pg , not much off the line but he could almost take speedo needle back around to 0, When he did this he said the rear of the car start's floating around with those fin's, that it did.I always liked that car!!!!!

There were a lot of stories of instability at speed, but it held on the super speedways of the day!!!!
Thanks for the thread!!!! That's the Mustard III that will be at the Convention!! Noticed the article was written in 1993!!!! Bet that 348 engine is in his son's 55!!!! The bottom picture of the car was here in KC at the 2004 Convention. GLAD Fred is coming!!!! Well hell..............I'm glad everybody is coming!!!!
