How far above the crossed flags on my 63 fenders do I put my 409 emblems?

I just put my crossed flags on my front fenders of my 63 Biscayne. How far above the crossflags should the 409 emblem be? Edge of emblem to edge of emblem will work or how far above the existing holes on the fender do I need to drill the two new holes? Thanks

63 emblems are close to the flags.
The 1963 409 emblems I think have studs that are “ not level” (makes it hard to drill the holes correctly).

I know 62 409 emblems have studs that are not level ( 409 emblems under the flags on 62’s)
I have always used factory 409 fenders for the making or transferring a template.
I made templates for my 62 409 restorations. I have seen a number of 62’s with the 409 emblems not in the right place.

All 63 & 64 Impalas had flags(327 Cars) and v’s no flags(283 Cars) & 409 emblems above flags located near the doors.
All 63 & 64 BelAir and Biscaynes had factory flags, V’s and 409 emblems with flags in front of tires on the fenders.

I made a written list all the factory locations of all emblems on all full size Chevrolet’s for 6 cylinder cars, 265, 283,327,348,& 409 cars from - 1955 to 1964 ( these engine emblems on factory Chevrolet’s continued into the later 60’s.
Many 6 cylinder cars had zero emblems on fenders, hoods or trunks were v-8 cars were on fenders, hoods, trunks and some lower rear 1/4s(1955)

“These emblems or lack of emblems “on original not changed cars (where the emblems have not been modified or removed)” confirmed the general type of factory motor each 1955 to 1964 Chevrolet came with”

For the 1964 full size Chevrolet, no matter what model, had no emblem on the fender for a 6 cylinder engine. If equipped with a 283, it had a “V” emblem. If equipped with a 327, it had the “V” with flags. If it was equipped with a 409, then it had the “V” emblem with flags plus a 409 emblem mounted above it. All emblem locations were on the front fender between the wheel opening and the door.
