How long will an M22 Muncie hold up to 500hp?

How about a ford top loader, stouter than the muncie and st10
I have one that has been pro shifted I'm going to try.

I had a friend, with a 390 engine, in a 67 Mustang, with a Ford Top Loader. He severed the main shaft, banging second gear. He was lucky, Ford Warranteed it.

Back when Pro Stock was in it's infancy there GM and Mopar scattershields made with the Toploader bolt pattern but not so much the other way around.As much as people may hate to admit it the Toploader has always been regarded as the strongest muscle car era factory 4 spd. by far even in the small input shaft variety.Thats not saying that it is unbreakable we all know that anything can be broken,but there is a reason why the earliest specialized racing 4 speeds such as the Liberty's and Jericho's were based on Toploaders.

I traded a Mr Gasket V Gate and some labor for this setup. I need to turn down the front bearing retainer and re drill the scatter shield for the ford pattern.
