How to change your car's oil

1. Carefully drain all old oil into a secure, large pan.
2. Carefully take the pan to a large can or device you and store the used oil in until you can safely dispose of it.

3. Always store floor jacks with handles in the up position!

That reminds me of a time years ago, in the shop I worked at. Had a tech school student doing an oil change. We had a drain pan/ bowl on an extending pole base. He pulled the drain plug, drained the oil and then dropped the drain plug on the floor. Well no big deal except, when he bent over to pick up the drain plug, he didn't let go of the drain pan's pole. Pulled the whole thing over on himself and took an oil shower with the five quarts of drain oil. He didn't last long.
