Muncie 4 speed or Borg Warner 4 speed ( both came in 63’s from the factory)
the hurst shifter rods and arms are different for each transmission and car and model.
Also older Hurst shifter did not have bolt on handles - a bolt on handle hurst allows use of a aftermarket factory style round bolt on chrome handle.
Also the late Muncie 4 speeds 69-70 and newer used bolt on arms vs studs on the transmission and
the hurst arms are different

1957 to 1962 Corvette BW T-10 Hurst Competition Plus 4 speed shifters and 1958 & 1959 BW-T-10 Hurst shifter are not the same as 1960 to 1963 Hurst BW -10 shifters
Also the Hurst shifter installation kits from 1957-1962 Corvette & 1958 -1959 Chevy BW T-10 are not the same as
1960- 1963 BW -T10 shifters ( this means some of the rods and arms are different )
(All this from the Hurst Catalog)

the point is to check the arm and rod numbers ( 4 digit numbers are stamped into every rod and arm to match them to the transmission and car - all in the Hurst catalog) to make sure they are for a 1963 Chevrolet with a T-10 ( 63’s also came with Muncie 4 speeds later in the production year)

So for a 63 full size, the shifter for the Muncie and the T-10 is the same. The installation kits are different. Whereas the shifter for a Saginaw is different due to a longer reverse rod. But that could be changed and made to work in a 63 full size. Which is what I thought he was looking for.

Here are the Hurst rods and rectangular arms for a BW 4 speed 1960 to early 1963
Lots of Hurst shifters out there with the wrong arms or rods and the wrong shifter body and curved handles

1960 to (early)1963 Borg Warner 4 speed ( aluminum transmissions I think)
has different numbers - needs a Hurst mounting plate #1957773

round rods
1 & 2 gear - 2138
3 & 4 gear - 2139
reverse - 3404

arms
1 & 2 gear - 2140
3 & 4 gear - 2141
reverse - 2142

I have a almost complete NEW BW 4 speed shifter installation kit (to sell ) with these items
2 of the 3 round rods
1 of the 3 rectangular arms
mounting plate 1957773
new mounting bolts for shifter and shifter mount
new washers and clips (plastic or metal washers)
adjustment arm

These kits are over $ 250 new
this is what I have as noted above

here is the correct new shifter and handle for a borg warner 4 speed

I bought and installed at least 10 Hurst 4 speed shifters on Muncie 4 speeds & BW 4 speeds
and sold at least 5 hurst shifters over the years - to have experience in what fits and what is needed
