Our 65 is a bench seat...four speed...with air. We bought it from the original owner with 45k miles. We drove V8 novas when we were young. Still like them. The 69 is an original L78....a local car from new

Russ, I remember many 409 cars down in Springfield in the late '70's/early '80's. Some that come to mind were a tilt-front end '62, a white one-owner '63 409/340 four door Impala, a white '62 409 Impala that ended up with a 396/375, and a white/factory black vinyl top '63 340hp plain Impala that was a three-speed on the column. That was a strange one that we found with flat tires on a motel parking lot that we purchased and drove back to Saint Louis.

Probably the coolest one down there that we purchased about 1978-79 was a Black 1963 Fuelie Split Window Z06 Corvette that had the 36-gallon fuel tank, big brakes, chrome roll bar, etc. Missing it's FI unit but found the car sitting in a front yard with a $1500 For Sale sign. Brought it back to Saint Louis and sold it to a family friend that had to have before it disappeared. That's the one that got away!
