Another state run scam-- Plastic grocery store bags became a target a few years ago, so some ballot measure came along to ban them. Instead of that, they sell them for ten cents at the store. Most of the time, I don't ever get more than one or two, so I minimize my use of them, also they do get reused when I get them home. Interestingly enough, the store has to pay the state three cents each for them. Some kind of bag fee or something. That think of everything. Remember the scene in Blazing Saddles when the town of Rock Ridge was about to be invaded by the bad guys and they put up a toll gate called the Gov.Wm.J.LaPetomane Toll Gate? That's when Slim Pickens muttered the classic line about the Gov when he asked,"What will that @*^^&&think of next?" Same game,different century. They stay up nights coming up with great ideas. Interestingly enough, there actually was a Wm.J LePetomane. Wikipedia this actual historical figure.

Greg I think you have described every Democratic run state in the country. Im in Chicago. Nuff said. These assholes probably wait for Cali to come up with more money making schemes and steal their ideas. We have the bag tax , idiotic license plate fees etc etc etc. they tried to pass a penny an ounce tax on sugary drinks...ALL sugary drinks. The reason was to help the obese children...thats the new scam. Always for the children. People are so stupid. Illinois is mostly a conservative state but there ar 3-4 heavily poplulated counties that control who runs the state. Its a joke.

The news last night, liberal they are, showed every loudmouth deviant classes of L.S.P. protesting President Trump's visit.(Little Stupid People)and showing real disrespect for not only our President,but anybody with a differing opinion.Even da gov got into the act refuting him on silly talk media. President Trump nailed it when he pointed out what a bad job jerry brown has done, pointing out the highest taxes in the country,the place is a mess, sanctuary cities full of criminal illegal aliens, etc. and while da gov bragged that it's the sixth largest global economy, it's only because they have managed to steal more and more GNP from the people who make this state and country work in the first place. Socialism is a giant lie, socialists are giant liars, the lie has been told so long that its practically meaningless, the problem is that it's very hard to educate those who refuse to learn what is really been done to them all this time. But, disrespect our President, you're on my list. Guess which one!!!

I cannot understand why they complain about a wall that has been in existence for decades? Yes we want to finish areas, improve others, but there has been a border wall for a very long time and no one seems to mention it.

Not only have gas taxes gone up, but the tags for your car went up. Not only that, a $100 increase on the tags for electric vehicles went into place. They feel that with all of us driving more efficient cars that tax revenue has dropped, and electric cars pay no gas tax, so here is a subculture to stick it to. What can you expect from a state who has a governor that plays leapfrog with a unicorn?
