Here is another installment of my '57 "W" project
Glove box from parts car gets the treatment
Ash tray from parts car gets the treatment
Glove box door (3 cup) cup holder after sandblasting priming and painting
All finished with new cylinder and bezel. It looks like I missed a spot but it is only a reflection
Ash tray also
Now the fun begins. Lots to do here
Hazard flasher goes in the lighter hole. Fit really nice.Dash trim was rifled from the bel-Air parts car. I used 0000 steel wool on these pieces as well.
Heater controll installed.and looking good. 4-speed clutch & brake pedals were removed for an automatic setup from the parts car. The stick setup was rebuilt/restored and is now hanging on my shop wall.
the clock was removed from the parts car. Don't have it working yet. It will be repaired.
Dash is almost back together. The Tach will not stay there. It will replace the clock in the Chevelle console I am restoring
Now to fill in that gaping hole in the passenger side firewall. A restored heater housing & core will soon reside there.
Here are the necesary parts from the parts car sandblasted, primed and painted
Heater installed with new(Danchuk) heater control valve
Firewall done
Here she is waiting for more. I tried to keep the place clean at all times. That way I know I am not missing any nuts & bolts before I go on to the next thing. That does not always happen though.
More to come
