Here is the next installment on my "W" build
Converter cover gets the treatment
Trans gets a reseal . Was rebuilt just before the small block took a Cr*p
Power brake pedal from Bel/Air parts car and rear crossmember get sandblasted
and primered
and painted
168 tooth flywheel on the right
Installed on what I now know is a 348 turboglide crank
tranny done waiting for the install
Rebuilt starter gets installed
Rear tranny mounting plates get installed ( Kit from Danchuk )
Closer look of mounting brackets
New engine mounting pins (Danchuk) in 6 cylinder position. Steering linkage will get replace by a Pinto Rack & pinion. Very close to the pan now.
Front horseshoe mount by Hearst from "Speedway" Notch is for the lower radiator hose to clear
Motor finally in car. Very tight against stock steering box., about 1/4 " plenty of room at firewall. My hand fits between the head & firewall. Also very close to upper control arms.3/8" with motor centered in chassis.
NOW THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT !!! I chose the chrome valve covers over the cast Edelbrock ones. They went back on the wall. I used #0000 steel wool & toothpaste on the valve covers.I had them in a box under a shelf for years. They are not drippers. More to come
