Hi Guys, Here is another picture set of my '57 "W" build. Enjoy
Alternator bracket from my QB 409. I had the presence of mind to remove it when I sold the engine.
My son loves this (Chrome altenator )
Electricals in place
Now to tackle the Vacuum wipers. They havent worked since 1968.
All the old cable drives were removed.
What a dinosaur.
Main drive from back of vacuum wiper motor.
All the pieces finally removed.
Mounting piece for wiper motor.
The new electric kit is from "Rain Gear" New 2 speed wiper switch
Everything in 1 compact package.Metal wiper transmissions and a GM electric window motor
Passenger side wiper transmission.
Everything fits right behind the speedometer assembly.Bolt in No holes to drill.
Everything fits like a glove.
Finish plate for the old wiper motor mounting bracket.
The whole wiper swap took me " FUMBLES" about 4 hours from start to finish.
Moer pictures later.
