Hi Guys, Here are some more pictures of my "W" build. Enjoy:D

1 Time to do the inner fenders for the '57. These were removed from the parts car. The original ones from the race car were cut up for the fenderwell headers.
2 Lots of undercoating is a good thing for a 50 year old piece of sheetmetal.
3 Lots of scraping and sandblasting.
4 Still more cleaning.
5 And sandblasting.
6 Now in primer. Cleaned up very nice. No rust holes anywhere.
7 These fenderwells turned out great.
8 Like brand new.
9 smooth as glass.
10 Now that's what I'm talking about.
11 Cleaner than "CARS" pieces.
12 Nice and smooth.
13 Very pleased. These pieces came out awesome.
14 "Danchuk " supplied the A-arm seals.
15 Back on the car at last. Pretty soon it will look like a '57.

Hard to tell in your pics, but did you have to repair the rear lower mounting tabs on the innner skirts? Mine are rusted off, but the rest of the skirts are ok. I need to fabricate the lower corners but I don't have a good template.:dunno

Hi Cecil, There was so much undercoating on those fenderwells when I scrapped all of the undercoating off every bit of both fenderwells were like new. Just sandblasted and primed and painted. They were not even dented.:dunno Are the tabs you are talking about the ones that bolt to the firewall at the bottom ? I think picture # 7 shows the mounting area you are talking about.

:crazy:cheers

The bottom rear of the front fender bolts through it to the tab on the front of the rocker panel, as I recall.:scratch

Sorry Cecil, Those fenderwells got trashed years ago. If I would have known you back then they would have been yours. I will keep my eyes peeled for you. I come across stuff like that once in a while.:crazy:cheers
