I know I've posted this link before but for those who haven't seen it scroll about two thirds of the way down this page and you'll see pictures of the King Camaro crashing at Bison dragways. http://www.mts.net/~57ford/reunion10.html
It also shows a photo of the car when it returned with a new paint job after the crash. The caption reads...
"Dan Geare, Fred Totten and driver Dean LaPole soon returned better than ever
innovative racer was one of the last pure Chevy funnycars on fuel
utilizing a unique fuel system and dual plug heads it was one of the loudest as well"

I noticed that the new paint job in the picture from this link is different but similar to the paint job in the picture that Jim K. posted. I remember Fred being happy to come across these pictures because he didn't have many photos of that car.

Edit... I was just noticing that the front wheels are completely missing after the fire. I seem to remember reading somewhere that magnesium rims will actually catch fire and burn if they are in a hot enough fire.

I could spend all day looking at old drag pictures, alot of names that I haven't heard in quite some time, what ever happened to all those cars ? thanks for posting that link, Steve
