Bill
what other numbers are on the rear end housing?
i was wondering what year the rear end is.
I need another 3:08 ring and pinion, if Carmine does not want them

Does it have a BW or BX stamped on the other side of the housing.(stamped into the metal)
And I forgot to ask about ring and pinion condition and few pictures of the ring and pinion.

Sorry Paul, I replied on Saturday on my phone, but see the response didn't actually post. so here goes again.

See attached pics, but can only make out the B, so unknown if W or X.

Unit sat in a trunk of a car or years before I got it, so some surface rust, also, axle and spiders are shot in it. Ring and pinion look usable yet.

BX or BW are both codes for 3:08 ring and pinion.
The ring gear should have the ratio on it as does the pinion gear (as I recall)
I think its a 1959 Chevy rear end.

I think you could ship it in a tall 5 gallon bucket.
I actually only need the ring and pinion -$ 50 is OK.

we are in Michigan until next Tuesday.
