My 1959 Impala Conv project.

Hi. As you might have noticed I am restoring a ´59 Impala conv from parts in boxes to (hopefully) a nice looking car. I started out with a car that is totally in parts beginning the build up from the bare frame. After looking thru some parts there is a part which I don´t know where it should be. Anybody know?

I will try to post pics here as the project progresses.

Here is the part I am not sure about.

Tjena Hans,
Jag håller själv på med ett likadant projekt Impala 59 Cab.
Det som du undrar över är bagage luckans låsfäste i karossen.

I is itself in with an identical project) 59 cab.
What you wonder about is baggage låsfäste movement of the body.

Finally found the perfect donor car for my ´59 Impala Conv project. A "not so bad" sport coupe here in Sweden. Now I can start make real progress as soon as the cold weather ends...

Looks good to start with in Sweden. Do you have a convertible donor too?

Yes I do have all the convertible parts. This car is from Utah and came to Sweden a few years ago. The car is complete except for engine and trans but I do have a complete 348 drivetrain for it. The original frame is coming together with front and rear suspension and brakes...
