Figured out how to load pics . I've gotten real good advise on this and the 348/409 board so I thought I'd show my ride. Owned since 79, paid 1600 for it. 59 Impala 348 250hp 4bbl powerglide. Stored in 86 when I joined the Navy. Shipped back to my home almost 2 years ago. A few months ago I pulled the plugs and pulled the engine over with the fan belt. Surprised it still turned. Good compression. Cleaned fuel tank. Changed oil and filter. Replaced brake and fuel lines. Rebuilt master cylinder and brake cylinders. Started right up. Blew out much insulation, rat poison and rust. Took for a few runs around the neighborhood. Broke pushrod. Pulled intake and while I was at it cleaned all parts under the hood and repainted all. Looks better than it ever has and is just about ready to fire up again. Sure keeping me busy but it is so much fun! Nice that parts are available these days.
