I have passed by many "field cars" of 63 Impalas over the years and often
wonder....gee...I should have got out of my car and gone and taken a closer

i was out joy riding with a friend one day (about 20 years ago) when we passed to 62 biscayne 2 door setting in front of a trans. shop. i had a small for sale sign in window and a phone number. nothing special 6 cly 3 speed blue/blue. it was located just east of columbus ohio on route 40. in a little burg called wagram. my friend called the guy and bought the car ($700 i think) we went to his house to do the paper work and in the back yard was a white 63 chevy race car, real fancy. i don't remember the name on the side of the car, but thinking back now i'll bet it was a Z-11. he wanted a very high price for it, so i couldn't have bought it if i wanted to. i just wonder where it ended up? doc
