They cite safety concerns. The only safety concerns would be for the people holding the straight parade. The violent ones are the counter protestors and the left who come to these things to start fights and cause trouble. They want people to respect their rights, ideas, lifestyles etc, however they have NO respect for anyone or anything that they don't agree with.

I don't want any of this nonsense in the parks regardless of the reason for them or the cause they endorse. They are in a residential area with limited parking. I live in this area. Leave the parks for picnics and baseball games and have your protests in a parking lot somewhere, and expect counter-protests and problems. And besides, they will disturb the homeless sleeping in the park. Welcome to the new California.

I lived on Grinnell, my house backed up to the railroad tracks, so I would go out the back to O Briens market back in 90 to 93.

Jeff, I'm only a few blocks away, in the Enslen area and my BIL owns a house on Grinnell. Small world, still shop at O'Briens.
