Spent an hour before work today and whipped up a needed corking tool. I’ve been putting this off as I wasn’t sure how I wanted to make the tool. But after seeing a metal fabrication shop post a picture of theirs, I came up with my version using stuff I had laying around the shop. I used a piece of 1 1/4” x 1/8” wall tubing, 1 1/4” round stock and some Delrin. Came together really quickly. Now I can shape the aluminum on the bumper hammer forms much easier.
The steel round stock was machined down to press into the aluminum tube for a striking surface.
Now I have to fix my lathe which the auto feed happen to break on while machining this morning.
