New Old Car Guy

[38Chevy]

I have been a Chevy nut for about 50 years now. First one was a 62 Impala 2DR HT with a 283 that I ended up replacing with a 425HP 09. I have a 38 Coupe that I acquired in 1974. It also had a 283 at the time and now has a 409 and Turbo 400. Truck block with 340HP heads and a 348 3 duece setup with original matching carbs. Look forward to swapping info, stories and maybe a few lies.

I live on the Lubbock area. Slaton actually. Moved back here from Springtown (NW of Fort Worth) a couple of years ago.

Yeah they finally got all the overpasses finished after we left. It’s a nightmare driving through Springtown now. Their making major changes at the intersection of 199 and 51.
