Parts showed up. 
Waiting on that certified mecanek to get the car on a rack so I can check the bearing support diameter to make sure I build it with the correct one.
This is the new main shaft with the fixin's installed, old part's in back.

Yay!!!! all the parts fit in the box. 
So I finally get a chance to check out the bellhousing, guess what, it has the large hole. Guess the guy that put this transmission in didn't think that hole is very important. 
I want to see this convertible that it's going in

Mike at Woody's mentioned that the owner thought it to be an original SS 409 car. It has the single carb 380 horse engine and a QA suffix.
Said the owner bought it at auction a few years back and that it resides in Columbia, MO. Can't believe I didn't know about this!
